Hi Readers,
Welcome to Pranav Reads!
I saw the trailer of "12th Fail" on YouTube today. It is based on the real-life story of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma. It is already captured beautifully in a book also titled “12th Fail” by author Anurag Pathak. I read the book back in 2021 and I am excited to see Vikrant Massey portraying IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma on the big screen. Sharing a short and sweet (as always) book review here.
BOOK REVIEW
"12th Fail by Anurag Pathak" is a captivating tale of resilience and determination. Hailing from the humble village of Bilgaon in Joura tehsil, Morena district, Manoj Sharma's transformation from a 12th-grade failure to an IPS Officer is a rollercoaster of emotions. This book beautifully weaves together the threads of hard work, unwavering dedication, the bitter taste of failure, the warmth of love, the strength of friendship, unyielding grit, the flicker of hope, and the daunting shadow of poverty.
Anurag Pathak, the author, has masterfully crafted this narrative, providing readers with a heartfelt glimpse into the challenges faced by a young man from a rural background as he navigates the complexities of urban life, grappling with financial constraints, academic setbacks, language barriers, family expectations, and the intricacies of maintaining a relationship.
While I usually do not read a lot of Hindi literature, this book proved to be an investment of both time and money that I cherish. The English edition of this book is also available. I wholeheartedly recommend "12th Fail" to anyone with aspirations of conquering competitive exams. It's a story that will infuse you with hope and strength, inspiring you to persevere and achieve your dreams.
Happy Reading :-)
